Isn't this how a morning should start? To sit in a balcony (or a garden, if the luxury permits) with cool (yes not hot) sunshine breezing your open hair, while you read a newspaper or magazine with a nice filling drink. Ahmm perfect. That's what I thought it would be when I saw this smoothie at Priya's lovely blog. I also realized that I have not posted a single beverage recipe till now. And since nowadays my philosophy is to eat & drink, what I want to blog, it was immediately made and clicked.
Apple Oats Smoothie Recipe
Ingredients:
2 large apples (peeled, cored and chopped)
1/3 cup oats
Sugar or honey - As per taste
Nutmeg and/or cardamom powder - 1/4 tsp (Optional)
2 cups chilled milk
Chopped nuts - 1/2 tbsp for topping (Optional)
Method: Blend all the ingredients, except nuts in a blender till smooth. Add milk to adjust consistency as per your liking. Serve cold with nuts as topping. And enjoy your morning!
Pleased to send my first beverage post to Bookmarked Recipes every tuesday, Serve it chilled, Cool Comforts of Srivalli's Kid's Delight, with a promise to make many more.
